I love this lamp. People say they are hard to get set. Thank GOD lol bc that’s how I found my first one. Everyone thought it was broken bc they couldn’t get it set. YOU HAVE TO FEEL THE SWEET SPOT WITH BOTH HANDS. So it was gifted to me.
This levitating moon lamp is really neat. The base is a nice flat shape with a port for the plug and a touch button for turning the light (moon) on or changing the setting. Each time you have to turn it off and then back on again for a new color/brightness of which there are three. One is very bright and white while the opposite is more of a yellow and warmer color. The Moon itself has a strong magnet on the bottom to work against the strong magnet in the base to create the levitation, while it is plugged in and powered. The moon has grooves and bumps throughout in an effort to mirror the design of the moon as seen from earth and will spin around once you have it balanced properly. There is a strong pull between the moon and the base so you may have to be patient and have a steady hand in order to find the correct space where it will be able to levitate between the two magnets. As they are very strong magnets it is recommended in the directions to keep away from computers, phones, credit cards and anything else that could be damaged due to a magnetic field/magnet. If you pull out the power cord it will instantly attract the moon down forcefully to the base and could cause damage so it is my recommendation when you are not using it to pull the moon up and away first and then unplug.
Really cool. I had trouble getting the magnet to balance but my wife did it in a few seconds. The light color flow is wonderful too.
This thing is awesome. I will say it is a bit challenging to get the thing floating - it has to be in just the exact right spot when you let go. But now that I have the hang of it part of the fun is watching people try and try try, and then come in and have it floating in 10 seconds. The spinning + the different color options make it great for my groovy party room.
